Halloween Haps
Halloween was fun this year, among other things, we baked a few treats. This was my first attempt at popcorn balls, and although they were good, they weren't great, which as a recipe is what you need to make it onto the site. The Sugar cookies (<---click the words) however were very good, and I would dare say that I've found my final sugar cookie recipe. I have never made a recipe this good and although they got mixed reviews on www.allrecipes.com they worked wonderfully for me. I kept the bulk of the dough in the fridge while I rolled out small batches, and I also 'floured' my rolling surface with confectioner's sugar instead of flour. Great, great, great, and even still soft and great the next day after being left out. Definately a enduring quality :o) Happy Halloween!

I made popcorn balls for the first time this year, too. I made one batch with a corn syrup base and the other batch with a marshmallow base. We liked the marshmallow one better.
I have a great recipe for popcorn balls. Call me and I'll pass it along.
i'm impressed with the sugar cookie decorating.
